I
started my training in photography at the Pasadena Art Center by attending
classes at night, while practicing ophthalmology. I have
taken master classes at UCLA, and studied with Sid Avery.
We moved to Maui in 1991 where I had the good fortune to work with David Ulrick at the Hui No’eau, David held my feet to the fire and made me focus my work. During that time I was the darkroom tech and assisted in the teaching students.
Last fall I studied with John Paul Caponigro in Santa Fe
For the past three years I have
devoted my self to travel photography attempting to explore the human condition.
Using digital photography I have been able to craft prints which
communicate my feelings better than the original exposure.
